Penal Code 377A Aversion

The exchange of emotional words over the gay sex issue has taken its hot position on newspaper and Parliamentary Petition. Gay activists has voiced out their rights through petition that the change in sex law has discriminate against homosexual men. People talk loudly about this issue and a debate continues to persist ceaselessly in a desultory way…

While others may think gay sex is fine, I don’t entirely agree with it. Take a stroll at Changi beach at night and what captures your attention will be a group of man well-dressed with a bag tightly squeezed in between their arms and thick colored make-up that spread across his face. As my own observation attested, people who passed by seems to be disgusted by their unusual dressing. Unsurprisingly, there are also those who keep a low profile but can be very extrovert indoors. My friend once told me what he encountered in the gym. He was sickened and staggered by a gay who seems to react differently from what he knows made up a real male. Collectively, the sudden infusion of gay activists in the society has made every other people remain repulsive to them.

So, if there is an approval of the gay sex issue, it will embolden all this activists to clad in what people believe to be highly beyond ordinary and will definitely disgust the public. Is this what S’porean wish to see in years to come? Additionally, every culture and religion does not condone to this unwholesome side of human. It will open gateways to potential adversaries as religious leaders will strongly averse to the insalubrious gay sex.

Moreover if we procured the grant of favors to Gay Sex then what will other nation thinks of us? Gay sex tourists’ attraction? ( another policy to bring tourist from all corners of the globe to S’pore like the integrated resort?) Or male depicting female-dressing contests?

By decriminalizing gay sex , it does not mean giving them the right to outrage people's modesty .

Why do people have to see them in such a light that they are paedophile and perverts ? Is it their religious teachings that instill in them homophobic leanings ?

They are also humans , but with a different sexual preference . This close-minded society must be tolerant in order for democracy to progress .

Take a stroll in Orchard Towers and what captures your attention will be groups of scantily clad women openly throwing themselves at Caucasians. Take a stroll in Geylang and what captures your attention will be groups of scantily clad women soliciting for business outside budget hotels.

As my own observation attested, people who passed by seems to be disgusted by their unusual dressing as well.

My friend once told me that she was approached by a man in the gym. She was sickened and staggered by the man's lascivious behaviour.

Can I say that collectively the sudden infusion of heterosexuals in society has made every other people remain repulsive to them?

Your shallowness is mind-boggling.

Your lack of understanding is also appalling to say the least...

Those well-dressed "men" on Changi Beach are transvestites...they think of themselves as a woman stuck in a man's body...

Gays are just normal men who happens to like men...they are not effeminate or campy as portrayed in the movies...

Sheesh...

I apologize for providing cheap talk on the Gay sex issue since I have moderate interest in dipping my toes into that steep level.

Well said xtrocious. It is indeed a fact that those who disguise themselves in female costume happen not to be a gay. Point taken there. But think about it. Are they not gay when they start to tail a guy and seduce him, asking for bizarre things?

Moreover I did mention that gays can be both extrovert and introvert.

I am glad you are not intimidated by insults but instead demonstrated you are capable of even apologizing when wrong.

Write on! You are entitled to your opinion.

Your thoughts are well expressed , albeit shallow . Why would you want to see gays in such a light ?

Your thoughts makes a good representation what singaporeans stood for , cynicism . What constitutes a vibrant civil society is to embrace people of different backgrounds , regardless of their cultures and beliefs . IMO Singapore has a long way to go and that is only achievable if people open up their minds .

Till then , homosexuality will remain a stigma .
